Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 2026
More Than Corn Market is a community built on trust, respect, and a love of local food and craft. These guidelines help keep the marketplace welcoming and safe for everyone — shoppers, vendors, market organizers, and visitors alike.
Be Respectful
Treat every member of the community with kindness. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, or personal attacks in listings, messages, reviews, the Vendor Lounge, or the Market Lounge.
Be Honest
Represent your products and business accurately. Do not post misleading photos, false claims, or counterfeit goods. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences — no fake reviews for yourself or others.
Keep It Local & Legal
The marketplace is for Iowa-grown and Iowa-made goods. All products must comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws, including food safety and labeling regulations. No illegal products, scams, fraudulent activity, or adult content are allowed on the marketplace.
Respect Privacy
Do not share another member's personal information (address, phone, email) without their consent. Keep conversations on the platform where possible.
No Spam or Solicitation
Don't use the marketplace to spam, mass-message, or promote unrelated businesses. The Vendor Lounge is a private space for Premium and Pro vendors, and the Market Lounge is a private space for Premium and Pro market organizers — both are for genuine discussion, not advertising.
Reporting & Enforcement
If you see something that violates these guidelines, contact us at morethancornmarket@gmail.com. We may remove content, suspend accounts, or ban users who repeatedly violate these guidelines. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent account removal.
A Note on Reviews
Honest reviews help everyone. Vendors may not pay for or pressure customers to leave positive reviews. Customers should be fair and factual in their feedback.
